Goyard is virtually one of the only luxury brands left without a massive internet presence. While the brand did finally create a small social media presence, its website is still highly outdated, containing no information in regards to its current offerings or pricing. It is one of the luxury world’s most elusive brands, and despite its scarcity, it is highly coveted by many bag lovers. The brand dates back to mid-19th century France, and is loved not only because of its incredible air of mystery, but also because of its functional, durable offerings.

The Goyard St. Louis Tote is one of the most recognizable bags in the world, and of course, it is adored by handbag lovers too. Known for its incredibly lightweight body, the tote has become a staple in the rotation of celebs. Seen on the streets of LA to NYC and beyond, aboard planes and in airports, stars loved their Goyard 10 years ago just as much as they do today. While the Saint Louis Tote is arguably the brand’s most popular style, celebs have also been spotted toting around other designs from the storied French brand over the years. Take a look below at the many Goyard bags celebs carried in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

Always had mixed feelings about Goyard — they are beautiful and I love the prints. On the other hand, so many people have them, the straps are too thin for my comfort, durability issues of some models, and the proliferation of fakes. But the price point isn’t so bad compared to other bags. I am seriously thinking about getting myself one, to cheer me up during the pandemic and the crazy political climate.

Has Rihanna ever looked bad? I don’t think so. While everyone else looked outdated, Rihanna outfit is stylish even if she wore it today.

I love Goyard bags/SLGs, but I find it a tad irritating how hard it can be to find information on availability/pricing, etc. Last year, I had a week-long business trip in Toulouse, and I thought about flying to Paris over the weekend to try to get the Goyard Belvedere (as it’s so much cheaper than in the US). I called the Paris Goyard ahead of time, explained my situation, and asked if they could please provide me with information on what colors they had in stock so I could potentially plan a trip to Paris. They refused to give that info over the phone; in the sales associate’s exact words “we do not provide this, so you will need to come into the store to ask”. I ended up just going on the resale market and buying one there.

(To be fair, I have never had this issue when calling U.S. stores, so it could just be a one-off issue with the Paris store?)

The Paris Goyard store had the most excellent in-person customer service. Better than the Hermès! Better than their New York store, too. But I agree, their policies are ridiculous. And I wish they would design more handbags instead of totes and travel items. They discontinued so many beautiful handbags a few years ago, and I haven’t seen anything good since. I wonder how they have fared in the pandemic with their business model.

Pharrell’s bag is the only one that I like.

I don’t get the appeal of this bag. All I hear about online and on YouTube about the terrible quality and bad customer service. On top of that, this bag looks cheap and made out of plastic.

I’m not for logos in bags except for Goyard, I have two St. Louis, one in black and another in orange. They are super versatile and can handle the use I give them.

I like Pharrell’s bag, but the rest are meh to me. But I would so want to buy the briefcase.

Chicago location has amazing customer service! I love my bag, especially the hand painted monogram. But it’s no where near as sturdy as the neverfull.

I liked Goyard for about 5 minutes. Now they just look tired and outdated to me.
